My Lost Treasure: The Clash

The professions theme continues on My Lost Treasure.  For the last couple of days it has been law enforcement, and today it's a song with police in the title.  It is for Bill in Poughkeepsie.

Speaking of Bills, the first time The Clash came to the radio station, our afternoon guy Bill Palmeri was so excited to meet them.  He was one of the biggest Clash fans I had ever met.  They were playing in Poughkeepsie that night, and were cool enough to stop by the station for an interview.  Well, in his excitement, Bill shook Joe Strummer's hand so hard that Joe actually swore at him.  Called him a f***king Yank.  I think I actually saw Bill's dreams shatter that day.  They did give a great show last night, and there did not seem to be any damage to Joe Strummer's hand.
