My Lost Treasure: The Clash

We are working on a an alphabet theme here on My Lost Treasure. We're doing a week of songs that begin with the letter A, then a week of Bs, and so on and so on. Kind of like the Letter Game that we play every day on The Boris and Robyn Show. Today it's a C song from a C group.

Not long ago, last month in fact, I heard that it had been 15 years since The Clash's Joe Strummer passed away. What? Could that be right? 15 years already? I looked it up, and sure enough Joe Strummer passed away in December of 2002. It seems like it was only, like, 5 years ago. Time sure flies. Anyway, today's C song is one of my favorites from The Clash. It always reminds me of my old friend Fast Fred from Newburgh. I haven't seen Fred in ages, but every time I hear this song I think of him. I hope he's doing well.
