My Lost Treasure: The B52’s

Our theme is still the sky and beyond.  We have heard a lot of sun and moon songs, a couple of cloud songs, but not too many planet songs.  Well, I have got one for you today.  And it has a bit of a local connection.

I can not play The B52's without thinking of Ulster County.  My friend Esther Gin has opened up for The B52's on several occasions.  He is also friends with them.  I am not sure if she still does, but for a while Kate Pierson from The B52's owned a motel in Ulster County.  And they've played the area a lot.  I also heard that Love Shack was filmed in Ulster County.  I guess all that adds up to a pretty local connection.  And they have a cool song that fits our theme.
