The theme right now on My Lost Treasure is weather related songs.  That's a pretty broad theme.  There is rain, snow, wind, hurricanes, sun, and of course, the word weather itself.  You knew I could not do this theme without including today's treasure.

I got the chance to meet Stevie Ray Vaughan in either 1983 or 1984.  I am leaning toward 1984.  He was playing at The Chance.  Not even the Mid Hudson Civic Center.  That's how early it was in his career.  I guess he had his demons back then, but you would never know it.  He was gracious, humble, and incredibly talented.  He came to the radio station that afternoon and was kind enough to play a few tunes for us right in the studio.  I will never forget it.

I can't even imagine how far Stevie ray Vaughan's talent could have taken him had he lived a longer life.  It's like that with so many great musicians that we lost too soon.  Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, etc.  At least they left us with some awesome music.
