My Lost Treasure: Sly and The Family Stone

We are working on a an alphabet/letter theme here on My Lost Treasure. We're doing a week of songs that begin with the letter A, then a week of Bs, and so on and so on. Kind of like the Letter Game that we play every day on The Boris and Robyn Show. Today we are wrapping up the Es with an oldie but goodie from Sly and The Family Stone.

Sly and The Family Stone were a lot cooler than I realized. They had a lot of hits that got played on hit radio stations. Which seemed, at the time, to make them less cool than groups that mainly got airplay on FM rock stations. Not so. They were right up there with the coolest of cool bands. It's not their fault that they happened to have mass appeal songs. And songs with staying power. I still love today's lost treasure.
