My Lost Treasure: R.E.M.

Songs with weather references.  That is the current theme here on My Lost Treasure.  I have not played a whole lot of R.E.M. on My Lost Treasure, and I am not sure why.  I really like R.E.M., but I often forget that.  Maybe because Michael Stipe got so weird over the years.  But the music stayed really good.

Today's pick is the second song by R.E.M. that we ever played on WPDH.  At least that is how I remember it.  I think it was the also the second R.E.M. song I ever heard.  And I loved it from the get go.  What was the first?  Radio Free Europe.  Then we got our hands on a copy of the Reckoning album.  And today's lost treasure.  After hearing it, we knew that R.E.M. would be around for years.
