My Lost Treasure: New Riders

The theme is professions and for the last couple of days we have been playing cowgirl/cowboy songs.  I have decided that it is a profession.  Well, I almost forgot about this one, which makes me feel embarrassed because it has always been a favorite of mine.  Thank you Matt Price for the reminder.

I love The New Riders of The Purple Sage.  I have one of their albums on my list of desert island discs.  I have seen them more that a few times, and I actually have Marmaduke and Dave Nelson's autographs on my cd.  And if you are a fan of The Grateful Dead, chances are you like The New Riders.  Jerry Garcia has been on New Riders songs, and Dave Nelson has been on Grateful Dead songs.
