My Lost Treasure: Lovin’ Spoonful

The theme is still places on My Lost Treasure, and it is another oldie but goodie for a Sunday morning.  Today the place is Nashville, and the band is Lovin' Spoonful.  I always loved them when I was a kid, but I appreciate them more as an adult.

John Sebastian from The Spoonful is a local guy.  He lives in Woodstock, and my friend and co worker Kimberly is really good friends with him.  I met John twice.  The first time was probably over 30 years ago at Moorehead Honda in Newburgh.  John was getting his car worked on, and I was there visiting my friend who worked there.  I was all blubbery and stuttering over meeting a star.  It was embarrassing to say the least.  I'm blushing just thinking about it.  The second time was about 10 years ago, and he was playing a fundraiser for my friend John Hall who was running for Congress.  I was much cooler that time.  And I was praying he didn't recognize me as the stupid girl from the Honda place.  If he did, he never let on.
