My Lost Treasure: Leon Russell

I must say, 2016 has been a rough year.  At least it has in the music world.  We have lost too many of our favorite talented musicians this year. David Bowie, Glen Frey, Prince, Merle Haggard, Paul Kantner, Leonard Cohen, and now Leon Russell.

In keeping with our food and drink theme, today I am featuring a song from one of my favorite Leon Russell albums, Hank Wilson's Back.  It is an album of country and bluegrass covers that I have listened to over and over through the years.  And big thanks to my long time friend Tommy Webster who reminded me to play today's lost treasure.

Goodbye, Leon, you will be missed.  Thanks for all the great music and songs you have given to us.  And thanks for all the memories that flood back to me when I hear that music. The world is a better place because you were here.
