My Lost Treasure: Johnny Cash

The theme is up and down right now on My Lost Treasure, and it is Sunday morning, so today's pick is just perfect.  It is Johnny Cash, but this song was written by Kris Kristofferson.

I am a fan of both Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson, so I had a hard time deciding which version of this song to use.  I decided on the Johnny Cash version because I remember seeing an interview with Kris Kristofferson about how honored he was that Johnny recorded the song, and when he did it on his television show he did not change any words to try to please the censors and the powers that be.  Johnny had total respect for the song, and that meant a lot to Kris.  Both versions are great, though.
