When I was a kid...probably from the age of nine or ten right through high school...I used to get up earlier than the rest of the family on Sundays.  And I would head right for the front door where the Sunday paper was waiting on the other side.

I always started with the comics, then there was the magazine section, and as I got older the crossword puzzle.  As the rest of the family began to get up, we all ended up in the living room, spending lazy hours with the Sunday paper.

I guess the Sunday paper, and the ritual of it, is a thing of the past for most people.  Computers, smartphones, even tv have replaced the paper.  But I sure do miss those lazy Sundays, and I still look forward to a good crossword puzzle that I can do with a real pencil...and eraser if need be,
