My Lost Treasure: Jimi Hendrix

The theme is color.  You might think that the Jimi Hendrix song that I chose for today features the color purple, but it is not that one.  Maybe we will do that one later on.  Today we are sticking with the color red.

When I played Panama Red by The new Riders yesterday, I got a couple of suggestions for today's song.  first from Walter, and then another request from Roy.  And it was already in my mind to include this one in our color theme.

I've always loved this song, but I started liking it more when I first met my boyfriend Bobby.  He was in a band that did it, and it always sounded so perfect.  He occasionally still plays with the guys from that old band, and they'll do it.  It still sounds great.
