My Lost Treasure: Happy Halloween with Donovan

Happy Halloween! It's the season of ghosts and goblins, and of course, witches. Which is why I picked this witch song. It really is a lost treasure. I used to hear it on the radio at least every Halloween, but now it seems you never hear it anymore. And it's such a great song.

Did I ever tell you about the time that I almost met Donovan? If I did, I'm going to tell you again. If not, here is the story. Back in 1998 WPDH broadcasted live from Bethel for A Day in the Garden. It wasn't yet Bethel Woods, it was just the Woodstock concert grounds. Donovan was one of the performers. We were all staying at The Concord, including Donovan. One morning we were both out front waiting for our rides. I smiled and he politely smiled back. So, I almost met him. Almost.

It was a great concert with not only Donovan, but Stevie Nicks, Don Henley, Pete Townshend, Joni Mitchell, and many more. And it paved the way for Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, one of my all time favorite concert venues. Happy Halloween!
