Today we wish former Allman Brother Dickey Betts a happy 75th birthday. It was a tough year for Dickey, and I'm sure he's thankful he made it to 75. Earlier this year Dickey suffered a stroke, and then, right around the same time he was recovering and scheduling new concert dates, he took a fall and suffered bleeding on his brain which resulted in surgery. Luckily, it looks like he'll be okay.

I wasn't a big fan of instrumentals when I was growing up, but I always made one exception. The Allman Brothers. They had instrumentals that were so good you could sing to them. No words, but you could sing along to the instruments. I have always loved today's lost treasure, and I still do. I'm singing no words to it right now. As we speak.

Happy Birthday Dickey Betts, I hope 2019 is a better year for you. Healthy, and hopefully a music making year. As always, thanks for the music.
