My Lost Treasure: Grateful Dead

The theme we are working on right now for My Lost Treasure is weather related songs. Today it is one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs.  And a story to go with it, of course.

It was 2003, I believe.  We were going to see The Dead at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.  I am pretty sure they were calling themselves The Dead at that point.  And I'm pretty sure that Joan Osborne was joining them on stage that night.  Some of that may be wrong, but it doesn't really change the story.  When we left Poughkeepsie it was pouring. On the thruway a little past Kingston it was just raining.  We put in our American beauty cd, and Box of Rain came on.  All of a sudden the sun came out, and it stayed clear for the rest of the night.  We felt that Jerry was with us after that happened.
