My Lost Treasure: CSNY

The theme is places.  Cities, towns, states, countries, etc.  I have already gotten lots of requests and suggestions, and we just kicked the theme off a few days ago.  Today's idea came in the form of an email from Jill.  And there is a reason I am featuring it today.

Even though Joni Mitchell was talking about the concert not the town when she wrote Woodstock, we are playing it anyway.  And we are playing the CSNY version from Deja Vu.  Why?  Because their version of the song was released on this very day back in 1970.  And Woodstock is a town even if it is not what they meant in the song.  The way I heard the story was that Joni couldn't play at Woodstock because she was scheduled to be on The Dick Cavett Show the following Monday.  But she heard all the cool stories from her friends Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, and wrote the song based on their reports of the concert.
