My Lost Treasure: Charlie Daniels Band

I have a feeling I could be playing car songs for months if I wanted to.  There are that many.  Yesterday, I played Commander Cody's Hot Rod Lincoln.  Today it's another song/story that fits the theme.

This one is also from the early 1970s, and I used to get it mixed up with Hot Rod Lincoln.  But it's a totally different song and a totally different story.  The two songs just kind of remind me of each other.

Today's choice is by The Charlie Daniels Band.  Charlie Daniels is 78 years old, and still going strong.  The Charlie Daniels Band still plays several gigs a month.  In fact they'll be at Westbury on September 19.  You have to respect a band with that kind of staying power.  If nothing else, I had to include this song on My Lost Treasure...
