Today Carole King celebrates her birthday.  Carole King influenced me musically even before I ever heard of her.  She wrote songs for so many groups, including The Monkees Pleasant Valley Sunday, Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin, James Taylor's You've Got A friend...and so many more.

And then she released the Tapestry album.  It quickly became one of my favorites, and I still listen to it constantly.  It was one of the biggest albums of the year.  I probably know every song by heart.  It was definitely a soundtrack to my young life.

So, for our lost treasure today, I picked one of my favorites from the Tapestry album.  Happy birthday, Carole King...thanks for making music that has meant so much to me and so many others.
