My Lost Treasure: Bo Diddley

The theme we are working on right now on My Lost Treasure is the Five Ws. Who, What Where, When, and Why. Today we are playing a great "why" song from the great Bo Diddley.

There are so many great covers of this song. George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Doors, and others. But I decided to go with original. Bo Diddley is a lot more important to rock and roll than people give him credit for. He was a major influence on some of our favorite rockers including The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and more. I got to see him at The Chance in Poughkeepsie back in the 1990s, and it was an awesome show. he even hired local musicians to back him up. Nice touch.
