My Lost Treasure: Big Country

The theme on My Lost Treasure is size, and today we have a "big" song from a band that also fits the theme. If you remember the early 1980s, you will probably remember today's lost treasure.

Somewhere there exists a picture of a much younger me on stage with the band Big Country. Their song, also titled Big Country, was climbing the charts. Back in those days a lot of up and coming artists played at The Chance in Poughkeepsie. Including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Men Without Hats, The Romantics, and many more. On the night that the picture I am talking about picture was taken the band at The Chance was Big Country and I was introducing them on stage. I was sorry to hear years later that one of the guys had died at a relatively early age.
