My Lost Treasure: Albert Hammond

Weather related songs is the theme we have going right now on My Lost Treasure, and it is another old one today.  Lots of memories from my childhood with today's pick.

I still remember right around the time this song was a big hit, my parents told me that we were taking a trip to California.  I was so excited.  My friend Pammy and I kept singing this song.  We knew all the words, but it wasn't until years later, when I really paid attention to what the words actually meant, that I realized this is a pretty sad song.  A reminder about how hard it is to reach our dreams, if we can ever reach them at all.  But it made me appreciate the song more.  It had a deeper meaning.  And it is our lost treasure for today.
