According to the latest statistics released by the NY State Department of Criminal Justice Services, arrests dropped across most of the region in 2014.

Columbia County saw 1,289 in 2014 arrests compared to 1,331 the year before.

Dutchess County had 5,137 arrests in 2014, down from 5,382 in 2013 (The 293 violent crime arrests in Dutchess marked a 10 year low).

Delaware County stayed around the same with 1,025 arrests in 2014 compared to 1,052 in 2013.

Ulster fell to 4,673 in 2014, with 4,748 arrests recorded the previous year.

Putnam County saw 1,243 arrests in 2014, with 1,498 in 2013.

Sullivan had 2,152 arrests in 2014, 2,197 the year before. 

Westchester County saw a 10 year low with 15,122 arrests last year (Felony arrests were also at a 10 year low at 4,722), down from 16,633 in 2013.

Greene and Orange Counties did see increases in arrests over the past years, with Greene seeing 1,303 adult arrests in 2014, up from 1,277, and Orange at 8,898 in 2014, which is up from 8,674 the year before.
