Another school district is demanding answers after their students found bugs in their food on Wednesday.

Children at Liberty Middle School were eating breakfast this week when some of them discovered small bugs in their Pop-Tarts.

The Times Herald Record reports that children at Liberty Middle School were eating breakfast this week when some of them discovered small bugs in their Pop-Tarts. The district says they gave those students the choice of replacing the Pop-Tarts with cereal bars or cereal.

The bugs were discovered in strawberry and brown sugar Pop-Tarts, which were then sealed in a bag and destroyed. The school says that the Pop-Tarts were delivered to the school by Driscol Foods and came pre-packaged. There is no word how long the food was left out before the students were served and if the bugs were actually in the packages when they arrived. The school district and Driscol are both investigating.

This is not the first time this school year that bugs were found in school food. In September in two meal bags that were given to students at Robert J. Kaiser Middle School in Monticello were found to contain Cockroaches.
