Monday, October 10: Rock Birthdays

Happy Birthday today (Oct. 10) to David Lee Roth. The Van Halen frontman is 62. Other rockers celebrating include Lzzy Hale of Halestorm (33) and Mr. Big frontman Eric Martin (56).

One of the greatest rock n roll frontmen of all time, ‘Diamond Dave’ was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. In addition to fronting Van Halen, David Lee Roth has also had a successful solo career, releasing many gold and platinum records.

After more than decades apart, Roth would eventually rejoin Van Halen in 2006, and tour North America. The tour would become the highest grossing tour in the band’s history. The band released a successful comeback album entitled A Different Kind of Truth in 2012. Van Halen's  first live album with David Lee Roth entitled Tokyo Dome Live’ in Concert was released in 2015 and the band toured last summer.
