We're now in the last full month of summer and some of you are probably already looking ahead to fall.

July was around average temperature wise, with slightly below average rainfall, according to the data.

As we look ahead this week, temperature are expected to dip into the low 50s Tuesday night across the Hudson Valley, which should provide some nice sleeping weather. Now, how will the rest of the week look?

How about the rest of the month?

Forecasters are saying that temperatures should stay in the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs under partly cloudy skies. There will be an increasing chance for some afternoon showers and thunderstorms by Thursday and into Friday .

Lows are expected to remain in the low to mid 60s after Tuesday.

As far as the rest of month goes, we seem to be getting different reports. The Weather Channel says the east should stay at or slightly above average temperature wise. AccuWeather however is calling for average temps with dry conditions for the rest of August.

Of course, there's always a number of factors you have to consider when it comes to the weather, so no one know's for sure. Another thing to remember; we're in hurricane season, so you never know what sort of storm could suddenly form in the tropics.
