Sunday's sunny and mild weather should last into most of the week, though there is a chance of rain and thunderstorms by Thursday.

Temperatures should stay in 70s for highs with lows reaching the lower to mid 50s. Skies will range from sunny to partly cloudy for most of week. Humidity levels will stay pretty low till around Wednesday night into Thursday.

With warmer and more humid air, the chance for afternoon thunderstorms will increase. Friday will probably be more pleasant, with highs in the 70s and partly cloudy skies.

Of course, while we're enjoying the nice weather in this part of country, Hurricane Irma brings life threatening wind and flooding rain to Florida and the Southeast as it continues to move ashore. Local leaders and officials had called for a massive evacuation of parts of Florida and other Southern states in the path.

The storm had been a Category 5 with 185 m.p.h. winds as it hit parts of the Caribbean making it one of the strongest hurricanes on record.

Keep these people in your thoughts and prayers. They're going to have a very long road to recovery ahead.
