The second phase of the Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force took fold today, as the the task force arrested nine men suspected of distributing heroin to the Middletown area. FBI officials say there is still one more suspect on the loose. This is considered a big blow to the heroin operation that has been a problem in the Middletown area. The FBI, with the help of local police, first launched the task force back in November, when 14 suspects were arrested. Read more at Hudson Valley News 12 and the Times Herald Record 

According to police, all nine face conspiracy to distribute heroin charges and three also face firearms charges. They face mandatory sentences of 10-20 years.
