Metallica Is Releasing How Many Live Albums?

For the last 10 years Metallica has offered live performances from their archives to their fans online - available through download.

To celebrate the 10 year milestone, Metallica is going big, really BIG! According to Metallica's Official Site, the band will release 27 live albums! Yes, you read that correctly, 27 live albums. They will be available through download, but the collection will also be available on CD.

Starting today through the end of this year, every show that we’ve played in 2014 will be released on CD! All shows with the exception of the MAP Benefit concert and Glastonbury are from the By Request tour with songs that you voted on … each night on the tour presented a different set list.”
