Meat at the Movies: Summer Blockbusters
Of course the first summer blockbuster was last weeks ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction.’ Even though everyone figured it would be basically the same movie over again, once people saw Optimus Prime riding a T-Rex the movie was distended to make oodles of cash.
Out this weekend, today actually, July 2nd (in order to get the ball rolling for the holiday weekend) is the latest Melissa McCarthy movie, ‘Tammy’. This style of movie is a perfect fit for McCarthy, a waitress at a burger joint who realizeds she needs to get out after she ends loosing her job, house and husband (to a neighbor). Her only way out though, is a road trip with her Grandma to Niagara Falls. Check out the trailer below…how can it be bad, the song is Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise….
