It doesn't matter if you're a kid or an adult, chances are you've laughed at the lovable yellow minions from the 'Despicable Me' movies. Maybe you've thought that they should get their own movie. If you're that person, wait no more 'Minions' is out!

First, the other movie 'Self/less,' the body swap movie starring Ben Kingsly and Ryan Reynolds. When wealthy man (Kingsly) is about to die from cancer, he sets up a risky procedure to transfer his conciseness to a younger body (Reynolds). At the start everything is working out well and what was once a dying man is flourishing in a young body. That is, until he starts learning of the body's previous life and family. Rated only a 29% on Rotten Tomatoes, critics are unimpressed mostly due to lack of execution. Many say that there is something of a thriller in the plot but it quickly turns to a guns-a-blazing action movie starring Ryan Reynolds.

And now, the origin story we've all been waiting for, my pick for the weekend, 'Minions.' Following the minions evolve since the beginning of time, we learn how they ending up serving Gru in 'Despicable Me.' after thousands of years of not being able to keep a master and falling into a great depression three minions Kevin, Stuart and Bob set out to find someone new, the first female villain, Scarlett Overkill (Sandra Bullock). Rated at a 74% on Rotten Tomatoes critics aren't impressed by the story and it's not going to pull at any heart-strings but it is a wonderfully good slapstick that will keep you laughing.

As always, take a look at the trailers below and until next week, we'll MEAT at the movies!
