Meat at the Movies: Mad Max

Many have been waiting for this moment for a while now. The latest installment in the Mad Max series has people talking about Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy. Also in theaters, Pitch Perfect 2.

Mad Max: Fury Road is set in an apocalyptic desert with the people as crazy as the killing machines they turn their vehicles into. During what seems to be a big chase sequence two rebels rise (Hardy and Theron) who may be able to restore order. Rotten Tomatoes shows a rating on 99% for this 4th installment of Mad Max. Critics are calling this exciting, action-packed and filled with explosions movie a great way to bring the series back to life after 20 years.

Now for another sequel, Pitch Perfect 2 starring Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. This followup to the highly successful musical comedy has the a cappella group enter in an international competition that no American team has ever won. Rotten Tomatoes rates this movie 70%. Critics are saying that though there are many high points in the movie they are not nearly as many as the first movie.
