Scientific fantasy and horror; betting that neither new movie this weekend can really happen, I'm both sad because "Tomorrowland" looks like an amazing adventure and happy because "Poltergeist" frightens me.

"Tomorrowland," starring the award-winning George Clooney and Brit Robertson, follows a farmer duo fascinated by science into a place that is not of this dimension. They must go to this place called "Tomorrowland" where they and the world around them will change. With the screenplay by a writer of "Lost" critics are calling this visually stunning yet brought down by uneven storytelling. Rotten Tomatoes gives this only a 53%, kids will love it where adults may tire of it.

Now, if anyone knows me, they know scary is not my thing even if critics call a movie not that scary, I'm going to avoid it no matter what. Unfortunately for those who love scary this one won't do it for you. Following a family who's home is invaded by evil forces, "Poltergeist" shares the story of the original where the families youngest daughter is taken captive and follows suit with showing no blood. Critics say there are a few jumps but nothing horribly frightening, nothing compared to the original. With a 49% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, neither new release this weekend is expected to floor anyone, but viewers will have their pick.
