With Furious 7 having a comfortable lead in the box office with $147.2M it doesn't look like Pacino's Danny Collins nor the Nicholas Sparks novel turned film, The Longest Ride, will be able to overtake Furious 7's number one spot.

Inspired by a true story and finally in wide release, Al Pacino plays aging 1970s rocker Danny Collins. Not being able to give up his old ways, Danny Collins is living like he is a young rocker when his manager finds an old letter from John Lennon that never found it's way to Collins. After this discovery he decided to change his ways and settle in by reconnecting with family and finding his true love. Critics rate this a 76% on Rotten Tomatoes with praises to Pacino's and supporting actor's performances (Annette Bening and Bobby Cannavaleto name a few). This drama-comedy is set to be a well-balanced road to redemption story.

The Nicholas Sparks best selling novel turned film, The Longest Ride is a love story between Luke, a bull rider, and Sophia, who is about to set off on her dream job in the art world of New York City. This young couple is guided by an aging Ira who inspires then with his stories of his own romance and the challenges of love. Critics give this a 29% on Rotten Tomatoes. No one expects this to be an amazing movie, it really meant for Spark's audience who will love it, of course. However, The Notebook does only have a rating of 52%. I'm not saying this is going to be another The Notebook, I'm just saying maybe it won't be that horrible.

Take a look at the trailers below and as always, until next week, we'll MEAT at the movies!
