Jurassic World still dominates the box office; but why if you're not into that type of movie - or more realistically, what if you've already seen it? Out this week are two very different movies, the animated 'Inside Out' and the Sundance Film Festival favorite 'Dope.'

'Inside Out' (PG) is a kids movie about dealing with emotions. The story follows Riley, who has moved from the Midwest to San Francisco due to her fathers job, and her personified emotions. She has to deal with Joy, Fear, Sadness, Anger and Disgust who are all separate charters in her mind as she tried to balance the move, home in the city and school. This has a huge rating on Rotten Tomatoes of 99% with critics calling this a great addition as an animated classic courtesy of Pixar. It's a great movie for kids to learn how their emotions work together and compliment each other...even Fear and Anger.

Continuing with the California theme, 'Dope' (R) follows a highschooler, Malcolm (Shameik Moore), living in a hard LA neighborhood dealing with college applications and doing well in school. After being invited to an underground party he gains a whole new perspective on life. He begins to loose some of his geekyness and becomes "dope." Of course in the end Malcolm finds his center and truly becomes himself. Being a favorite at the Sundance Film Festival its expected to be rated well. Rotten Tomatoes give this 88% with critics praising Moore's performance and expecting him to be a star. I think one of the best all-encompassing descriptions about the movie is by Matt Donato from We Got This Covered, "Dope is a funky-fresh take on today's hood culture that's surprisingly empowering when Malcolm's coming-of-age story steps front and center."

Take a look at the trailer's below, and as always, until next week, we'll MEAT at the movies!
