It's the end of summer, kids are going back to school, and movies are just okay; even if an ex-James Bond is involved. Out this weekend is mystery-suspense action flick No Escape and drama We Are Your Friends.

As business man (Owen Wilson) brings his family to their new home in Southeast Asia, they find themselves in the middle of an uprising in No Escape. He and his family must find a way out of their new home with the help of Hammond (Pierce Brosnan) as the rebels attack the city. Critics are dumping this into the category of all the other movies about Americans in some sort of foreign civil war. With a Rotten Tomato rating of 43% its, okay. Yes, its filled with action and suspense but the critic's big issue is that they pretty much forget about the fact that for a bunch of people in Southeast Asia the world as they know it will never be the same.

Following a young aspiring DJ, Zac Efron is here to woo the ladies in We Are Your Friends. With a regular job during the day and working to make his breakthrough electronic dance music (EDM) track by night, Cole (Efron) is pulled between his friends his destiny and a forbidden love. With a Rotten Tomato rating of 52% critics are calling this a cliche coming of age story. If you are a fan of EDM and can tolerate a group of guys promoting parties then you would enjoy this one; if not then maybe not so much.

Take a look at the trailers below, and as always until next week we'll MEAT at the movies.
