Out of the new movies in wide release there should be a clear winner for top and the box office. That's Johnny Depp's 'Black Mass' over the second installment of YA book turned movie, 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.'

Starting with the lesser rated action/adventure flick 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials,' this second installment is heavily geared towards it's young adult audience. After escaping the maze, Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) is on a quest to find out information on an organization known as WCKD. Traveling to a place called Scorch he and his friends team up with resistance fighters to take down WCKD and learn what the organization has planned. Critics are calling this installment action-packed and filled with running. Apparently most of the movie has to deal with them running. Unfortunately due to it's limited target audience and cliche post-apocalyptic scenes and scenarios Rotten Tomatoes rates 'Maze Runner: Scorch Trials' with only a 56%.

With a ton of big names like Johnny Depp, Benedict Cumberbatch and Joel Edgerton 'Black Mass' looks to be very promising and one of Depp's best in a while. Following the true story of 1970s Boston Irish mobster James "Whitey" Bulger's (Depp) collaboration with the FBI, Depp shines as he portrays the growth in power of Whitey Bulger. While working with the FBI to take out member of the Italian mob Bulger became basically untouchable and as a result grew to be one of the most powerful mobsters in Boston history. With a rating of 81% with great acting overall, some say Depp could get an Oscar for this role.
