McDonald's is giving away their new fry-based innovation for free today, but only at four local restaurants.

What is a person to do when you're eating a juicy Quarter Pounder and feel the urge to take a selfie? The last thing you want is to get your phone all greasy and messy while taking a picture, right?

That's why McDonald's has invented the Frylus. The french fry shaped stylus is designed to be used on touchscreen phones instead of your finger while eating a burger.

The Frylus is being given out fat only 2,000 McDonald's locations across the country. In the Hudson Valley these four restaurants are the only ones who will have this ridiculous device available for free with the purchase of a Quarter Pounder.

  • 347 Broadway in Newburgh
  • Route 9, across from Marist College in Poughkeepsie
  • 733 Main Street in Poughkeepsie

According to McDonald's 100,000 of the selfie-taking devices will be given away on June 21 for National Selfie Day. We did the math and it appears that 50 Fryulses (or is it Fryli?) will be available at each location. The promotion only runs while supplies last, so you might want to head over to your nearest participating McDonald's before they all disappear.
