Besides the fact that it's October and Halloween comes at the end of the month, we all know its coming when horror and thriller movies become the regular. Also, that's when I stop going to the movies. Because I'm a baby and I'm not ashamed. Well maybe a little.

Two new movies come out this weekend, 'Annabelle' and 'Gone Girl.' Both will have you on the edge of your seat. And get this, they're not badly rated.

Let's look at 'Annabelle' first. This movie is just a big NOPE for me. Their tag is, "Before the Conjuring, there was Annabelle" but for me, it's more like before the conjuring there was NOPE! This horror movie is about a vintage doll that was given as a gift from a husband to his expecting wife that turns into pure evil. Satanic worshipers break into the family's home and try to summon a demon and while doing so drip some blood on the doll. Well, after that all hell breaks loose...literally. If you're a horror movie fan, this is for you. Critics are saying that this one is one of the creepier movies and is much better than expected just in time for Halloween. But, for me personally, it's still a big NOPE; vintage dolls scare me normally.

The next release is based off the bestseller by Gillian Flynn - 'Gone Girl.' Ben Affleck plays a husband who is seemingly in a wonderful relationship. On his fifth wedding anniversary he reports his wife has gone missing. After questioning and media his wonderful relationship begins to look a bit off and he becomes the number one suspect in the possible murder of his wife. This looks to be one of the top movies of the year with an 8.9/10 on IMDB and 80/100 on Metacritic. Critics are saying that it's filled with plot twists and really gets the viewer to invest their emotions throughout.

And now for something different, 'Zombieland 2' is going to be a thing. However, they tried a sequel before as well as a TV series and both didn't work out. Not sure why Sony has done just a turnaround here but I'm excited to see what happens. There is no release window nor is there any casting info out...no one is expecting the original cast to return, and that makes me sad.

Check out the trailers below and as always, until next week, we'll MEAT at the movies.
