After having been closed all morning following a threat on social media, The Poughkeepsie Journal is reporting that Marist is now open with all scheduled activities back on. While police have developed a suspect behind the threat, they have determined have there is 'no legitimate threat' toward Marist College,according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that according to Marist's Chief Public Affairs Officer Greg Cannon said there were no plans today on campus or speakers scheduled today that he believes "could have generated" this type of threat to be written against the college on Twitter.

From this point on today, all scheduled events, including the Marist men's basketball home opener this evening against Holy Cross, are on as scheduled. However, classes and offices will remain closed for the remainder of the day, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.
