Manhattan Elementary School Gets Rid of Homework, Parents Outraged

Kips Bay, NY- The parents of students at a New York elementary school are not happy, after their kids were told to forget homework, and play instead.

P.S. 116 has stopped assigning homework to their students, and has told them to read, and spend time with their family.

Many parents are not happy with this decision, and have begun to assign their own homework to their children. Some parents have even threatened to remove their children from the school, as reported by Fox 8.

The principal of the school said “the negative effects of homework have been well-established. She added that homework can be frustrating and make the child lose interest in learning, as well as make them miss activities with family.
