A 27-year-old is in jail without bail for allegedly trying to use fake money at a Hudson Valley Walmart.

On Sunday just before 8:30 p.m., members of the Ulster Police Department responded to the Walmart in the Town of Ulster following reports a man trying to use fake U.S. money.

As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Anthony G. White of Queens was found to be in possession of counterfeit US Currency, police say.

White was charged with eight felony counts of 1st-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was arraigned in Town of Saugerties Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail to reappear in the Town of Ulster Court at a later date to answer the charges.
