Stefun Darts made a special promise when he was in the second grade and now he's made good on his word.

The 24 year-old Houston, Texas man said he would pay off his grandparents' mortgage. Darts fulfilled his promise earlier his month by presenting a $15,000 check to his grandparents, Cecil and Madelyn Roberts.

Stefun's grandparents had reportedly done a lot for him and his family, so for the past six years, Stefun worked many odd jobs nonstop and saved as much money as he could. Darts ate cheap food rather than dine out, and avoided the whole party scene in his late teens and early twenties to save as much cash as possible.

He somehow managed to do all this while also attending San Jacinto College as a full-time student and even the founding the non-profit organization Caring Heart Youth Foundation.

But it doesn't end there. Stefun not only payed off their mortgage, he also paid for a trip for the two of them to the Bahamas.
