A dentist from Maryland had plans to attend a work conference in Portugal last year, but figured he'd do a little sight seeing on the way. He had planned to hit up Granada, Spain to check out some of historical sights as part of his vacation. Hey, why not?  He had the frequent flyer miles to book his first class flight on British Airways, so he was all set to go. But there was just a slight problem with this plan.

There was a screw up with the airline, so instead of going to Granada, Spain the dentist and his partner were sent to Grenada in the West Indies....first, by way of London. The man never noticed the mistake apparently because his e-tickets did not contain the airport code or the duration of the trip. It took only about 20 minutes in the air for the dentist to realize things had gone horrible wrong.  After 4,000 miles off the mark, three days of transit, 375,000 frequent-flier miles, and about $34,000 wasted for the pre-booked hotels, trains and other tours later, the man finally made it to the conference...barely on time.

Now he plans to sue.

I have no legal background; I’m a dentist, but I know right from wrong — I don’t know if that does you any good in this world
