A Thruway chase has lead to a number of felony charges for one Brooklyn man. 33 year-old Frankie Vargas lead State Police on a brief chase that ended in New Paltz, Monday afternoon, according to police.

The Times Herald Record reports, that an investigation found Vargas had three active arrest warrants, including a felony state police warrant, a small amount of heroin and 80 fraudulent money orders from Western Union, Allstate and Money Gram. The Brooklyn man is facing 12 counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and first-degree reckless endangerment, all felonies. He's also facing several misdemeanors including driving while ability impaired and fleeing police.
