This man really did not want to do jury duty. So he thought of quite a unique to get out of it. James Lowe of Barnet, Vermont man pulled quite the ironic stunt by showing up to court dressed as a prisoner, himself. The Caledonian Record reports that Lowe was wearing a black-and-white-striped jumpsuit with a matching beanie.

Lowe joined the other prospective jurors before the start of the selection process. He was then direct by deputies to an empty courtroom to meet with the judge, who told him to leave. Lowe says the judge told him he could've been found in contempt of court, which my might have meant a fine or jail time.

Lowe says that the juror instructions didn't restrict clothing. He does go on to say that he's happy to be released because of his work schedule and family obligation. He returned to work and the court did not try to contact him.
