A seven year Wells Fargo employee named Tyrel Oates wanted to email the head boss directly about a possible raise. Sometimes you gotta take the initiative. Oates reportedly makes a little over $15 an hour, and wanted to inquire with Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf about a rise, not only for himself, but for other Wells Fargo employees as well (a $10K, at that). Oates apparently says in the email that this would "show the rest of the United States, if not the world, that yes, big corporations can have a heart other than philanthropic endeavors."  He continues..."it is time that we ask, no, it is time that we demand to be rightfully compensated for the hard work that we accomplish, and for the great part we all have played in the success of this company"

Well, that's one way of getting things done. A Wells Fargo spokeswoman said the company does not discuss personnel matters. She goes on to say that Wells Fargo provides .."market competitive compensation that combines base pay with a broad array of benefits and career-development opportunities."

According to reports, Stumpf made $19.3 million in 2013. As of this writing, Oates is still employed with Wells Fargo.
