An Ulster Couty man is facing multiple felonies following a domestic dispute.  

On October 27, at approximately 3:20 am, Saugerties Police responded to CVS for a reported past domestic dispute.

Officers interviewed the victim, who reported that she was assaulted by her husband, 33-year old Barry Mower.

The victim reported that during the dispute Mower put his hand around her neck and squeezed so hard, it caused her to lose consciousness. When she came to, the victim reports that she attempted to call 911, but Mower took her cellphone.

The victim was eventually able to get her phone back and contacted 911 to report the incident.

Mower was taken into custody and processed at police headquarters. Mower was charged with Felony Criminal obstruction of Breathing and Circulation in the Second Degree, Felony Criminal Contempt of a Court Order in the First Degree (A Court Order of Protection, on behalf of the victim, had been issued by the Town of Saugerties Court on April 12, 2017 against Mower) and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.

Mower was arraigned and remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
