Man Charged After Allegedly Getting Into Physical Altercation Over Glass of Kool-Aid

A 32-year-old Rock Hill, SC man is facing assault charges after he and his stepfather got into a physical altercation. According to reports, the fight happened Saturday at around 11 p.m. night at the their home.

So, what was the ruckus all about? According to the 57 year-old stepfather, spilt Kool-Aid.

The stepfather told police he got into an argument with his stepson after he knocked over the stepson's cup of Kool-Aid.

According to the Rock Hill police report, the younger man became “irate” over the spilled drink, and allegedly punched the stepfather in the head several times, causing a visible injury.

Myrtlebeachonline.com reports that the stepson reportedly fled from the area after the assault, and officers were unable to locate him after they arrived on scene. Shortly later, police were called back to the home when the younger man returned. Officers reportedly found the alleged Kool-Aid assailant hiding behind his bedroom door.

The man was charged with third-degree assault and battery, and was transported to the Rock Hill city jail.
