Yet another case of 'selfies' gone too far.

Maine State Police said a driver attempting to take a "selfie" caused a car crash that left multiple people injured. WCSH reports that the crash happened Saturday in the town of Orient, ME. 29-year-old Jordan Toner was driving with seven passengers when he leaned over to join the photo, only to run off the road and into a tree.

The passengers were in their 20's and 30's and suffered a variety of injuries, including fractures, cuts, as well as neck and possible back injuries. Several of the passengers were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Toner was summonsed for failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle due to being distracted.
