Now this is just dumb.

A young man stands accused of breaking into a store to steal cigarettes. His plan to escape is what's unusual.

Bay News 9 is reporting the the suspect sprayed himself with fire extinguishers in an effort to elude capture.

Police say that 18 year-old Anthony Dixon's went forward with is master plan on March 4, when he allegedly shut off the power to a Spring Hill, Florida Family Dollar store from the outside,

Dixon then allegedly used a cinder block to break the store's front glass window.

Luckily, someone nearby saw him breaking into the store and called 911.

The pursuit wasn't that difficult as police were lead to an area where a large amount of a white powdery substance had been sprayed. They also found two empty fire extinguishers which has been stolen from a nearby apartment complex.

Eventually, they found Dixon, who's legs were covered with the white powdery substance.

Dixon was arrested and later admitted to the break-in and to stealing the fire extinguishers Dixon said he felt he could hide from police by spraying himself down.

Did he think he'd trick the police by covering himself in foam?

Deputies charged Dixon with burglary and criminal mischief, along with two counts of grand theft for the stolen fire extinguishers.
